All charges have to be paid only in cash.

The applicable visa fee is as per the current exchange rate.

Documents Required

1. NATIONAL VISA APPLICATION FORM (Completed and signed in Spanish or English.)

2. PHOTO One biometric photo with a white background (3 x 4 cm).

3. NIE NUMBER

4. CRIMINAL RECORD

Original and a copy of the criminal record certificate for all visa applicants of eligible age (after notarized translation into Spanish, it must be apostilled by the Government Delegation with the Hague Apostille). Criminal records must be obtained from each country where long-term residence has occurred in the last five years, with Spanish translation and Hague Apostille. The criminal record must not be older than 3 months.

5. HEALTH INSURANCE AND PAYMENT RECEIPT

Must be from an institution authorized to operate in Spain or that has authorization to operate. The insurance policy and payment receipt must cover the entire period the applicant will be in Spain (for stays over 1 year, the insurance should be valid for no more than 1 year) and must be issued by a Spanish company. It must have coverage of at least 30,000 EUR.

Documents proving that the applicant and/or their family members have sufficient economic resources and a regular income. Bank statements must be stamped and signed by the bank.

11. VALID PASSPORT AND COPIES OF ALL PROCESSED PAGES

ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FAMILY MEMBERS:

• BIRTH CERTIFICATE:  For children, a birth certificate (after notarized translation into Spanish, it must be apostilled by the Government Delegation with the Hague Apostille) or FORM A (translation not required, only apostille needed). Original documents must be no older than 3 months.
• MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:  If spouses are applying together, a marriage certificate (after notarized translation into Spanish, it must be apostilled by the Government Delegation with the Hague Apostille) or FORM B (translation not required, only apostille needed). Original documents must be no older than 3 months.

Photo Specifications

Applicants should submit their Application form with the new photo format, as explained below:

General

• The photo must fulfill the norm specified by the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
• Use plain white background.
• The photo must be no more than 6-months old.
• Not tilted picture (portrait style) showing both edges of face clearly.
• Close up of the head and top of the shoulders so that the face takes up 70–80% of the photograph.
• Photo in sharp focus and clear.
